Our mission to empower Bangladesh's youth through policy, diplomacy, and community leadership.

Join the think tank

Bangladesh Youth ThinkTank (BYTT) is a fully independent, non-partisan, youth-led national research organization dedicated to engaging Bangladesh's young generation in intellectual, evidence-based politics and national policymaking. Our purpose is to protect the country's vast youth population from being used as instruments of incitement, rumor, and political mudslinging — and instead build a culture of tolerance, diplomatic civility, and data-driven policymaking among them.

Our vision is an informed, conflict-free, and responsible youth society — built on the three pillars of Policy, Diplomacy, and Development — capable of leading tomorrow's Bangladesh in policymaking and governance. Our mission is to create a direct, constructive policy-dialogue platform between grassroots youth and national lawmakers, translating young people's ideas into research-backed policy briefs presented at the highest levels of government.

Our work spans three areas: Policy Research, producing data-driven recommendations on contemporary national and international issues from a youth perspective; Youth Diplomacy, building bridges between Bangladeshi youth and international think tanks and global youth platforms; and Leadership Development, organizing nationwide policy dialogues and seminars that instill democratic practice, fact-checking, and responsible citizenship.

BYTT's structural innovation is its nationwide grassroots connectivity. A skilled, highly educated young leadership team runs our Central Executive Committee, producing national policy briefs and coordinating activities across the country. We are also currently building a 300-Constituency Youth Ambassador Network — a major initiative to democratically elect Youth Ambassadors and form Local Youth Councils, each serving a two-year term, in every one of Bangladesh's 300 parliamentary constituencies.

Our work is aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and Bangladesh's National Youth Policy. We believe that, working alongside government policymaking bodies and other stakeholders, BYTT is positioned to make a unique contribution to national development as a modern, progressive, and intellectual policy partner.
